Project checklist

Make the invisible decisions visible.

The order can change, but none of these conversations should be left to chance.

01

Define the project

Write down the intended use, approximate size, ownership goal, comfort priorities, design direction, budget context, and timing.

02

Understand the land

Review zoning, access, utilities, drainage, soils, easements, setbacks, surveys, and permit requirements.

03

Build the right team

Identify architecture, structural engineering, mechanical design, panel manufacturing, construction, and inspection responsibilities.

04

Coordinate the enclosure

Connect water, air, heat, and vapor control through walls, roofs, foundations, openings, and penetrations.

05

Plan the services

Locate electrical chases, plumbing routes, ducts, equipment, ventilation, and service access before manufacturing.

06

Prepare the site

Confirm foundation tolerances, storage, lifting, weather protection, crew readiness, sequence, and field checks.

07

Document decisions

Keep current drawings, responsibilities, approvals, substitutions, tests, and unresolved items visible to the team.
